Media Player HUB TV

  • Welcome to Media Player HUB 5.0: A sleek, customizable dashboard for seamless access to media and information.

  • Purpose: Combines essential utilities like date/time, weather, and Second Life user stats with quick access to popular media services.

  • Click to bottom right Led to Start / Shutdown TV.

  • Multilingual Support: Automatically detects user language (e.g., en, fr, es, de) for translations of UI text and lunar phases.

Widget 1: Date and Time Widget

  • Real-Time Updates: Displays current date, time, and lunar phase, updated every second.

    • Date in full format (e.g., “July 23, 2025”).

    • Time with hours, minutes, and seconds (e.g., “05:44:00”).

    • Lunar phase (e.g., New Moon, Full Moon) based on a 29.53-day cycle.

Widget 2: Weather Widget

  • Dynamic Weather Data: Fetches real-time weather for a user-defined city or geolocation fallback (default: Paris).

    • Displays city name, temperature (in Celsius), and weather description.

    • Uses OpenWeatherMap API with 10-minute cache for efficiency.

  • Customization:

    • Change city via a settings form with instant save to local storage.

    • Refresh button to update weather data on demand.

Widget 3: Second Life Counter

  • Real-Time User Stats: Shows the number of users online in Second Life, updated every 300 seconds.

  • Status Indicators: Displays “Users online,” “Users online (cached),” or “Users online (est.)” based on data freshness.

Widget 4: Day/Night Mode Selector

  • Theme Switching: Toggle between Day and Night modes for personalized viewing.

Widget 5: Color Selector

  • Customizable Themes: Choose from six color schemes to personalize the interface.

Widget 6: Service Tiles

  • Quick Access to Media: Grid of clickable tiles linking to popular services.
